Role Summary – bring content to life!

As a contract Communications Specialist, you will work with Guidewire’s Global Business Partners & Talent Management team to create assets about our Talent Management programs for our employee community. Assets you create will include, but not be limited to, executive presentation decks, intranet content, email program launch messages, etc.

We’re looking for someone who can tell a story and convey key information through words and visuals in a creative, compelling, and engaging way, while ensuring all assets follow Guidewire’s established employer brand guidelines.

Role Requirements

The person in this role will report to Guidewire’s VP of Global Business Partners & Talent Management.

You would need to commit to 20 hours per week for a period of 4-6 months. Due to the expected business impact of this role, response times/SLAs are expected to be 24 to 48 hours, depending on the project. Additionally, you will need to be available daily for updates or to answer any questions about work-in-progress.

What You'll Do

  • Create internal communications assets about Guidewire’s Talent Management programs.
  • Develop compelling narratives that showcase Talent Management’s vision, mission, goals and objectives, principles and accomplishments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create engaging and informative content across all channels.
  • Create compelling content by using a variety of communication tools, including pitch decks, templates, program overviews, and other communication methods.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with Guidewire’s employer brand guidelines.
  • Support internal communication efforts to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational priorities and culture.
  • Foster a vibrant internal culture through storytelling and interactive initiatives
  • Track and analyze communication effectiveness through metrics and analytics tools.
  • About You

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proven content creation/communications experience with a strong track record of storytelling and writing success – portfolio of sample work required.
  • Excellent communication skills with a knack for crafting clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Experience in both internal and external communications, ideally in a corporate setting.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Results driven.
  • Proficiency in content management systems and social media platforms.
  • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “win every day” mentality.
  • Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
  • Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal stakeholders articulately.
  • Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. We also pride ourselves on being a pay for performance company.
