The Role

The Software Project Engineer is responsible for building positive client and peer relationships through developing an understanding of the client’s business and project scope, and translating operational requirements into technical requirements, the SW Project Engineer will then configure and test the system to ensure it meets the requirements.

This position could be located in any major cities in Canada. Periodic travel to HQ and client sites will be required.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5+ years in applications engineering or software development
  • Experience working with robotic systems, and complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Familiar with SQL, C# .NET, WPF and visual studio
  • Proficient with IT/Software design/implementation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • What we need

  • Collaborate with clients and Business Analysts to scope solution requirements and develop functional specification documents (FSD) for projects
  • Work with Software and Client Success teams to ensure client Warehouse Management System (WMS) communication is set up and configured correctly
  • Advise on configuration settings as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), for current and new features as the client’s business changes
  • Interface with the Testing team to ensure that all SW releases are tested (both at system level and via emulators) and configured correctly for client sites
  • Collaborate closely with HW Project Engineering to ensure IT networking and security complies with client and Attabotics security protocols
  • Coordinate with Engineering teams to ensure that system requirements are aligned with the current releases (Hardware and Software)
  • Support Installation and Integration Testing phases in partnership with Construction, Technical Support Center and Field Engineering teams to ensure that the appropriate support level is available.
  • Join forces with Project Managers and Client Success teams closely to ensure above requirements, including scheduling are met
  • Support Sales and Application Engineering in Request for Quote/Request for Proposal (RFQ/RFP) or other inquiries
