We’re hiring a seasoned editor to spearhead our organic content. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of editors and serve as the managing editor for the ClickUp blog.

As a player--coach, you will own the quality and production of all content on the blog while guiding and mentoring your team. We are looking for a strong leader with a keen eye for detail, exceptional storytelling skills, and a proven track record of success in driving editorial quality at scale.

This role will be instrumental in assisting and empowering ClickUp, a cutting-edge productivity platform, to thrive and provide top-notch solutions. The Role

• Lead a team of editors and supervise the daily operations of the blog to ensure we ship high-quality content at scale to support our organic growth goals
• Ensure our content aligns with the ClickUp style guide, meets our brand guidelines, and aligns with our product marketing. Follow best practices and showcase a high level of editorial integrity,
• Provide editorial leadership and managerial guidance to editors and writers— build a culture of excellence and set the bar high. This means you have a great sense of editorial taste and understand hooks and angles to create a unique POV and coach it to your team.
• Monitor and maintain quality control for all content—create and implement a quality rubric where each piece of content is scored against quality parameters. Feedback is documented and shared with writers, editors, and agencies. Build and maintain a rigorous feedback loop for continuous improvement.
• Understand our product, industry, and ICP and develop into a subject matter expert to take ownership of what we write about and help direct the cluster of topics and blog outlines 
• Set and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for each stage of the content lifecycle to ensure high content-velocity
• Take complete ownership of content quality and KPIs such as the volume of blogs published, time to publish, individual qualitative ratings, etc.
• Run weekly feedback sessions with writers, editors, contractors, and agencies and build a positive culture of feedback and improvement
• Analyze, report, and act on content performance trends, not limited to SERP,  traffic, and conversions and also qualitative content metrics such as time-on-site, scroll-depth, and click-through-rates (CTR), among others

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8 to 12 years of proven experience in content and editorial roles, focusing on managing high-volume SEO content production
• You’re obsessed with your audience—what drives them, what they’re looking for, how to grab their attention, and make them customers and advocates
• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring content teams, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment
• Exceptional storytelling skills and a mastery of content editing to maintain a high bar for quality.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to optimize content for search engines
• Impeccable organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Adept at analyzing data and using insights to drive content strategy improvements.
• A portfolio showcasing successful content marketing wins and examples of personal contributions to content creation.
