The Role:

We’re looking for a Contract Management Associate to join us in our Belfast office. As a member of our team, you will be supporting a leading multinational pharmaceutical corporation. You will be responsible for supporting our clients business by drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts as part of a wider general support service to the client’s contracts management and in-house legal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of Commercial Contracts in German and English
  • Working closely with our Client’s in-house legal departments to negotiate and execute commercial contracts and supporting our Client with relevant compliance checks
  • Be part of a team committed to the overall delivery of services and compliance with all delivery commitments to the client
  • Active caseload management
  • Adhere to all Factor delivery processes and commitments;
  • Input and manage data on Factor and client systems and keep them up to date;
  • Help develop contract templates, playbooks and other tools for use by the team;
  • Be part of a team committed to continually improving our service to the client and adding value.
  • Essential Criteria

  • Law Degree and/or Legally Qualified;
  • Fluent in German
  • Legally eligible to work in the country this role is based
  • Minimum of 6 months experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts within a law firm, an ALSP, as part of an in-house legal team or within Factor;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Regular client-facing experience;
  • Good commercial awareness, working directly with business managers;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - especially Microsoft Word;
  • Organizational fit for the Factor culture - exhibiting the core values of Authenticity, Accountability, Adaptability and Stewardship;
  • Client relationship management
  • Desirable

  • Experience of working with or for a pharmaceutical, telecommunications, financial services or professional services firm preferably in a contracting function;
  • Experience of working in-house
  • Experience with commercial contracts drafting, with experience of negotiating NDAs particularly desirable
  • Additional Information

    As a member of an ISO Compliant center, the candidate will be required to follow the policies and procedures on Information Security Management System in place at the Center of Excellence and globally at Factor. As a member of the Factor team, the applicant will have access to various company and client assets and will be required to maintain the level of security as identified for each asset.
