Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting Strategy will be responsible for the enhancement and day to day leadership of the revenue accounting function.
All activities must be in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations, as appropriate.
In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include:
Essential Functions
Provide thought leadership, guidance, and strategy on revenue accounting processes impacting the business, with a specific focus on how to automate, accelerate, improve accuracy, scale, and sustain the revenue accounting monthly close
Evaluate, lead, and continually enhance day-to-day accounting operations as well as the close process for revenue accounting
Ensure Sales and Use tax compliance, prior exposure to Avalara is helpful
Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals in the Billing and Collection teams
Drive improvements in Credit Memo and Refund processes and controls
Assist with integration of acquisitions, new systems, and process enhancement
Assist in administration and streamlined use of NetSuite and other information systems for revenue transactions
Partner with business systems teammates to enhance use of integrated systems such as Operational databases, SFDC and Hubspot
Sales Commission calculation oversight
Drive Commercial agreements to best practice
Lead additional projects and carry out additional responsibilities as assigned based on business need Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
6 years of corporate accounting experience with a focus on revenue recognition
Order to cash and CPQ experience
Experience with billing automation and process improvement projects
Extended experience with collections, cash applications, and leading payment tools
Experience as a people leader Preferred Qualifications
NetSuite implementation/administration experience
SaaS/Technology company experience Total Rewards
