We think it's kind of special, and see Typeform as the living, breathing company we are, rather than just a logo and a typeface.About the RoleThe Design department is currently in an exciting phase of expansion, necessitating the recruitment of a new Design Manager to provide enhanced support to our growing team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the department's core functions while also catering to the needs of two key strategic groups. Moreover, it presents a unique opportunity for the manager to actively shape and refine the department's processes to better align with the demands of our growth trajectory.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate closely with Design, Product, and Engineering Leadership to shape and execute Typeform's overarching strategy across all relevant domains.
- Lead and mentor a team of five product designers, ensuring a consistently high standard of design quality.
- Drive operational enhancements within the Design Function in collaboration with other members of the Design Leadership team.
- Oversee the effective collaboration and alignment of the product designers with Research and Development (R&D) priorities.
- Work with direct reports on their professional development and performance management.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering Group Leadership to deliver on group objectives and priorities.
- Participate in key Strategic Design initiatives to contribute to Typeform's Gold Standard.
- Contribute to the evolution of R&D and Design Culture.
- Work alongside Design Leadership to refine and enhance DesignOps processes and frameworks.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Proven experience in managing, leading, and nurturing Product/UX design teams of varying levels (Junior to Principal), consisting of three or more individuals.
- Previous involvement with SaaS platforms, complex applications, or enterprise software.
- Familiarity with working within teams that utilize advanced Design Systems.
- Ability to drive design teams towards efficiency, measure the impact of their work, and elevate design standards.
- Proficiency in leading design reviews and occasional use of design tools such as Figma.
- Experience in user testing and research methodologies.
- Excellent English proficiency for clear, concise, and engaging communication.
