We are looking for an individual with extensive experience drafting and negotiating contracts to lead the training of AI engines to extract and analyze contractual information. This would involve managing the AI annotation process from end-to-end, including gaining a deep understanding of our customers’ AI use cases, sourcing training documents, supervising the production of new AI model while building and managing a team of knowledge experts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reporting into our Senior Director of AI, work with our Data Science and AI teams to define our AI roadmap, including a prioritized list of document types and data points for our technology to analyze using AI
  • Lead and build our Legal Knowledge Engineering team made up of contract lawyers and AI experts
  • Collaborate with our external AI partners
  • Collect diverse sets of training documents by searching public sources and leading collaboration projects with customers
  • Project manage AI training projects and ensure release deadlines are met
  • Oversee robust AI model testing procedures prior to release to customers
  • Contribute to sales and marketing collateral on AI
  • Join calls with prospects and customers to ensure they are getting maximum value from our AI
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years’ experience drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, preferably with some experience in an in-house role
  • Experience working with legal AI technologies
  • Experience in legal operations and/or working with contract management systems is a plus
  • Comfortable working with a distributed, multinational team
  • A JD or LLB from an accredited law school
  • Experience in SaaS based ERP, CRM, or BPM solutions.
  • The US base salary range for this position is $155,000 - $174,000 (excluding bonus, equity, and benefits). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
