Primary Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Strategic Leadership:  Develop and communicate a robust growth marketing plan that aligns with the company's goals. This includes overseeing the growth marketing team, setting clear objectives, and fostering an environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of our current acquisition and retention strategies, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine and inform your growth strategies.
  • Customer Acquisition & Conversion:  Assume full responsibility for optimizing our customer acquisition channels, including paid and display ads, SEO, affiliate marketing, and influencer marketing. Work closely with product teams to improve the product to improve acquisition.
  • Customer Retention: Strategically improve customer retention by identifying and implementing measures that accelerate the journey to the 'AHA' moment, reduce churn, and increase lifetime value (LTV)
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders across various departments—product, finance, operations, and customer success—to ensure alignment and clear communication of plans and projects.Data-Driven
  • Optimization: Leverage and track data with the utmost precision:  embrace analytics and data insights as the foundation for strategic decisions, optimizing marketing efforts for maximum ROI..
  • Innovation & Experimentation: Lead the growth marketing team in designing and conducting experiments aimed at improving growth metrics, identifying organic viral growth loops, and leveraging the intersection of marketing and growth to drive the business forward.

Core Competencies:

  • Advanced Data Analysis:  Proficiency in using advanced analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to dive deep into data, uncover insights, and track performance metrics such as CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue), and LTV (Lifetime Value).
  • A/B Testing & Conversion Rate Optimization: Proficiency in utilizing tools for A/B testing and optimizing web pages and user flows to significantly improve conversion rates. A keen understanding of how to systematically test and refine marketing strategies is required.
  • Growth Hacking: Demonstrated ability to apply creative problem-solving and growth hacking techniques to rapidly test, analyze, and scale growth tactics. An innovative approach to unlocking new growth channels and optimizing existing ones.
  • Performance Marketing: Deep understanding of managing and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager. Experience in measuring and enhancing the ROI of performance marketing efforts.
  • Resourcefulness: A knack for doing more with less, finding creative solutions to challenges, and being comfortable working in environments where resources might be limited but opportunities for impact are large.
  • Adaptability: Exceptional ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments. Viewing ambiguity as an opportunity for innovation and adept at pivoting strategies in response to evolving market conditions and business needs.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Proven experience leading and inspiring a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and achievement. The capacity to manage across functions, influencing and integrating efforts with sales, finance, marketing, development, operations, and customer success teams.
