Responsabilities

  • Applies Database Administrator knowledge to all relevant EmployBridge Database systems, both on-prem and in the cloud. This includes the installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, backup and recovery, and maintenance of all DB instances across the organization.
  • Ensures that the database systems of EmployBridge are secured and available to EmployBridge users.
  • Required direct and indirect interactions with key contacts outside their area of expertise, direct and indirect interactions with 3rd party software/server vendors and customer support, as well as escalation point of contact for internal and external teams.
  • Daily and on-call monitoring of EmployBridge database systems.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Having wide-ranging experience using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Abides by EmployBridge documented policies and procedures. Must be able to coordinate, communicate, and work within the Infrastructure Team, the EB Technology Team, other EB Departments, as well as 3rd party vendors for project management, issue resolution, and support.
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years of work-related DBA experience required
  • MCDBA, MCSE, Server+, Linux, Certification Preferred
  • Design/Install/Configure/Support on-prem and cloud database systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server (2012/2016/2019), including SSRS and Always-On Availability
  • Groups required; migration experience moving to new SQL versions (i.e., 2012 to 2019) required
  • Highly skilled in both the creation of SQL and tuning of SQL and strong knowledge of MySQL,
  • PostgreSQL required
  • Experience with AWS RDS platforms – AWS Certified Database – Specialty a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, PowerShell, and Python
  • Advanced knowledge of Couchbase - Capella is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of current equipment and technologies for database systems, both on-prem and cloud solutions
  • 100% remote.

    Flexibility regarding working hours.

    Full-time position with a work contract.
