Job Summary

PeopleFun is in search of a dynamic Director of Product Management to spearhead product initiatives for our flagship title, Wordscapes. Reporting to the Wordscapes business GM, you'll sit at the forefront of the mobile word game category. Your primary focus will be driving, supporting, and mentoring the PM team to grow the vibrant Wordscapes player community through innovative live-ops services and new features that align with PeopleFun's mission of developing and growing strong gaming communities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product strategy, roadmapping, and prioritization for Wordscapes, including new feature development and live ops optimization for a thriving 4M+ DAU player base
  • Serve as product leader, creating and optimizing impactful game features to achieve short and long-term business goals
  • Manage & grow a team of industry leading Product Managers, providing guidance on product strategies
  • Conduct competitive research, analyze industry trends, and implement best practices to maintain Wordscapes as a mobile category leader
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to understand player behaviors and motivations to translate insights into impactful features, optimizations, and experiments
  • Blend product intuition, competitive intelligence, and data insights to assess the potential impact of live-ops content and feature proposals.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to leverage central platform technology, driving product growth and efficiencies while effectively weighing technical decisions.
  • Develop models and frameworks for better decision-making and identify growth opportunities across the player experience
  • Partner closely with the Ad Monetization team to best balance trade-offs between revenue optimization and player experience and serve as a key liaison between Wordcapes and our dedicated AppLovin User Acquisition team.
  • Regularly present the Wordscapes product strategy to the GM and key stakeholders.
  • Assess, approve, and balance product spec and target outcomes against technical and design considerations.
  • Drive and mentor the Product team on how best to communicate overall results, progress, and data to the team
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading mobile game product teams for successful titles
  • Passion for improving retention and player LTV, with a track record of developing features and live services that improve topline KPIs and drive breakthrough results
  • Strong team player with extensive management and leadership experience, capable of developing strategic product plans and skilled in inspiring and aligning teams toward these plans
  • Hands on contributor, willing to get your hands dirty and help where needed to get the job done. No job is too big, or too small.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to drive messaging across an organization, motivating & aligning the team around strategic goals
  • Demonstrated data driven mindset that understands how to analyze and utilize player data to develop relevant hypotheses and design and execute ab tests that can optimize KPI performance and drive informed decisions
  • Deep understanding of the mobile gaming ecosystem and passionate about creating fun and compelling user experiences
  • Preferred Qualitifications

  • Experience in the casual puzzle and/or word game vertical
  • Experience managing products across a top 50 grossing mobile game
  • Experience with advertising monetized mobile games
  • MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Additional Information

    PeopleFun provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this [CA based or North America based] position is $165,000-$215,000. Base compensation at PeopleFun is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits.
