Strava is hiring an Engineering Manager to help lead our Activities team. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of the Strava experience: the activities and data they provide to our athletes. We’re looking for an engineering manager to join the team and be responsible for driving product strategy and supporting the career development of engineers on the team.

This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco or Denver office.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:
  • Manage a team of mobile and server engineers building the services and features that enable athletes to put their active lives into focus and track their progress.
  • Partner with product, design, and analytics to identify and deliver impactful product improvements that allow athletes to upload, visualize, and analyze their activities.
  • Build an inclusive and impactful team culture within your team.
  • Work closely with other engineering leaders on team-wide initiatives such as hiring, the intern program, and the technology vision.
You will be successful here by:
  • Demonstrating empathy for athletes and their experience while using Strava.
  • Coaching the engineers on the team and supporting their career development at all different levels and career stages.
  • Applying exceptional judgment to challenging situations.
  • Embracing an inclusive, collaborative environment that elevates a diverse set of voices and experiences.
