About the Team

The Marketing Team’s primary responsibilities are to communicate the value of the Subsplash platform to the world—managing all outward-facing communications, leading demand generation efforts, creating go-to-market product strategies, facilitating brand management/identity, and more. We create beautiful and effective email campaigns, social media strategies, website content, product identities, videos, and more. We identify prospects and nurture them into quality leads for our sales team. For existing clients, we help them understand and engage with our products and new features. We have fun moving projects from concept to reality, and discovering what works well to help Subsplash and our clients succeed.

About the Role

As the Content Marketing Manager, you will report to the Director of Content Marketing. You are a dynamic writer with a proven ability to draft copy that is creative and compelling, while also being driven by research, testing, and customer understanding. You excel in planning and execution that translates business objectives into content that leads to meaningful results across various channels (including web and email). You demonstrate knowledge of content and technical SEO, copywriting best practices, customer journeys, and buyer psychology. You are proactive, thorough, and autonomous, but also love working with a team. You play a key role in driving the success of our core marketing functions, including content marketing, product marketing, demand generation, and PR/communications. You are an excellent communicator, copywriter, and subject matter expert in areas that resonate with our target audience. You are highly organized, committed to detailed reporting, and keenly attentive to results and KPIs. You have experience with processes and tools (including AI) that increase efficiency without sacrificing quality. You are passionate about creating benefit-oriented content to reach our target audience.

Top 3 Key Outcomes in Year 1

  1. Execute an SEO content strategy that results in year-over-year organic website traffic growth and improves search rankings for strategic keywords.
  2. Streamline reporting on content marketing KPIs, including (but not limited to) SEO performance, organic traffic, and organic conversions.
  3. Establish and maintain an editorial process for managing owned content channels, freelance writers, and paid content placements.

Your Priorities

  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Content Marketing and the Marketing Team to represent the Subsplash brand voice, product offerings, and value propositions with excellence.
  • Develop, own, and execute blog content strategy to enhance SEO performance and brand awareness.
  • Craft copy that adheres to and builds upon our brand for various marketing content, assets, and communications.
  • Create article briefs (primarily for freelance writers) that maximize throughput while maintaining quality.
  • Optimize content initiatives to deliver on business goals through a “test, measure and learn” approach.
  • Partner with other Marketing Team members (and cross-departmentally) to develop content marketing strategies in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Create and maintain editorial calendars, style guides, and other artifacts as required.
  • Conduct SEO keyword research (including competitor research) to identify new opportunities and maintain a strong advantage for the Subsplash brand.
  • Track and own SEO and blog KPIs monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Explore opportunities to improve technical SEO performance and hone skills in this area.
  • Translate broader marketing campaigns into content execution plans that lead to the attainment of campaign objectives.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of email marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain a pulse on industry trends in order to inform brand and product positioning.
  • Manage relationships with other writers (in-house and contractors) and partners.
  • Write, edit, and publish other long-form content (ebooks, etc.) as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of marketing experience within a B2B SaaS company
  • Passionate about our products and how they can serve churches, ministries, and nonprofits
  • Experience with CRMs, marketing software, and SEO marketing tools
  • Experience planning and executing an email marketing campaign from start to finish
  • Robust copywriting and editing skills
  • Experience working from an editorial calendar to publish blogs and other content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and find innovative solutions
  • Skills in analytics, measurement, and reporting
  • Ability to work remotely and with remote team members
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field is a plus

Compensation

  • The overall compensation for this role is between $70,000 - 75,000/yr.

Location

Subsplash currently has operations in 22 states across the US! As much as we would love to have employees in as many states and countries as we have clients, we are currently limiting hiring to the states we already operate in. As a result of that, this role is only available as a 100% remote position if you reside in one of the following states: 

AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IA, KS, MO, MI, NC, NM, OK, OH, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA.

Unfortunately, if you do not reside in one of these states, we are unable to consider your application.

This position is classified as Full-time/Non-Exempt and therefore is eligible for overtime pay.
