We are looking for a Web Analytics Engineer to support our Marketing Sciences team.

Responsibilities

 
  • As a Web Analytics Engineer at Wheelhouse, your key role will be the implementation and management of marketing tags across various architectures. Focusing on a server-side approach. 
  • Supporting compliant Analytics implementations for healthcare partners, ensuring data compliance with HIPAA and other Privacy regulations, like GDPR and CCPA. 
  • The success of our Digital Advertising, SEO, and Data teams depends on the stability and accuracy of the telemetry deployed to our client's web stacks. As a Web Analytics Engineer, you will be crucial to this process, designing and deploying data collection through marketing tags, triaging analytics issues, and conducting regular maintenance and review of deployed data collection quality and strategy.  

Experience

 
  • Comprehensive understanding of Full WebKit DOM, including the event model and synchronous and asynchronous execution. 
  • Experience Data Analysis and finding key insights from Data (2+ Years), including: 
    • GA4 
    • Adobe Analytics 
  • Experience with Tag Management Platforms (2+ Years) 
    • Google Tag Manager 
    • Tealium IQ 
      • Tealium EventStream 
      • Tealium AudienceStream 
    • Segment.io 
    • Other 
  • Proficiency in Vanilla JavaScript (2+ years) 
    • DOM Manipulation 
    • Browser compatibility management 
    • Network requests 
    • Data Layer development 
  • jQuery (2+ years) 
  • Client-side Debugging (1+ year) 
    • Cross-browser & Responsive testing/QA 
    • Use of plugins and debuggers such as Omnibug, Charles, Fiddler 
    • Proficiency in using browser Dev Tools to set breakpoints, analyze XHR logs, etc. 
  • Experience with Git or other source control 
  • Issue Management 
    • Capacity to generate consistent, detailed, and clear documentation  

Preferred

 
  • Experience in the healthcare industry with an understanding of HIPAA Privacy and Security rules. 
  • Server-Side (Cloud Delivery) Experience 
  • Experience with data obfuscation and aggregation techniques 
  • Experience with API Development and Integrations for data collection 
    • Understanding of REST and Graph 
  • Experience with experimentation tools such as Google Optimize or Optimizely 
  • Experience with DBT and other ETL Platform and Workflows 
  • Understanding of Data Lake, to Data Mart, to View Data Pipeline 
  • Node.js 
Full compensation packages are based on the skills and experience of the candidate. Candidates hired in this role should expect an offer in this range. The monetary value of additional benefits, such as insurance, time-off and fringe benefits are not included in this range. This only outlines the value of the salary portion of the offer.
