Requirements

Educational Background: Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a closely related field that emphasizes analytical skills, scientific thinking, and rigor. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline and significant relevant experience in healthcare data analysis may also be considered. A strong educational foundation ensures a deep understanding of statistical methods, data analysis techniques, and their application in healthcare.

Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in healthcare data analysis, with a demonstrated ability to extract meaningful insights from complex medical datasets. Hands-on experience in working with healthcare data is essential for success in this role.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical programming languages and tools such as Python and R.

Experience with Electronic Health Record Data and Systems: Familiarity with the structure and peculiarities of healthcare data, particularly CCDA and FHIR, and related systems.

Machine Learning Expertise: Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in predictive modeling and analysis of healthcare data. Understanding how to leverage machine learning algorithms to uncover patterns, make predictions, and support data-driven decision-making in healthcare is a key requirement.

Data Privacy and Security: Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations relevant to healthcare data, such as HIPAA. Experience in working with sensitive patient data while ensuring compliance and data security is essential.
