Role Overview
We have a unique opportunity for a full stack web developer to join our quick growing team. Our stack is written in Typescript and includes React, Node, and SQL. You’ll work closely with engineers, business intelligence experts, and UI/UX designers to craft optimal solutions for our clients.
Note: This is a remote role for candidates in Canada willing to work in EST time zone. Preference for candidates in Ontario.
Your Responsibilities
- Participate in coding, testing, debugging, configuration and documenting of software solutions
- Find creative solutions to technical challenges as they arise
- Proactively address product issues
- Learn new technologies and how to best apply them to NPX's client challenges
- Ensure code quality and work to minimize technical debt of solutions
- Host or participate in hackathons and workshops aimed at process simplification, automation, and technology implementation;
- Lead initiatives to support charitable causes.
What you bring to the table?
- Experience building fast, visually appealing consumer facing, scalable web apps.
- Full Stack experience with specific focus on React, Node, Express, Material UI, Azure.
- Working knowledge with Typescript and Modern ES7 coding practice.
- A strong track record of functional programming
- Experience writing API endpoints and working with databases similar to PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB, etc.
- Experience writing tests in suites similar to Jest, Cypress, Enzyme, etc
- Understanding of modern CI/CD practices with technologies like Git, Github, and Github Actions
- Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate: 3-5 years experience of full time professional web development experience.
- Junior: 0-3 years experience of full time professional web development experience.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Bonus points if you have experience with Maximo and ACE.
