As the Vice President of Data, you will lead our organization's data strategy, overseeing the Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams. You will be responsible for setting the vision and direction for how data is utilized across the company, ensuring that data-driven decisions enhance our business operations and product development.

To do what:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization's overall objectives.
  • Drive the culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data technology to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Team Management:
  • Oversee the Data Analytics, Engineering, and Science teams, ensuring effective collaboration and integration of efforts.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the data teams.
  • Mentor and develop team leaders and members, setting performance goals and evaluating outcomes.
  • Data Governance and Compliance:
  • Establish robust data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop policies and procedures for effective data management and utilization.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any data-related legal and ethical concerns.
  • Analytics and Insights:
  • Drive the development of analytical tools and models to provide actionable insights that support business decisions.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality data analysis that meets the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Promote a data-informed approach in product development and marketing strategies.
  • Technology and Innovation:
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of cutting-edge data technologies and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate data systems and tools effectively.
  • Oversee the development of scalable data infrastructure that supports the organization's growth.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders about data initiatives and insights.
  • Partner with other departments to identify and meet their data needs.
  • Represent the data teams in executive meetings and contribute to overall business strategy discussions.
  • Our ideal candidate has:

  • Proven experience in a senior data management role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Expertise in data analytics, engineering, and science principles and practices.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A track record of implementing successful data strategies.
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
