At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.

40% of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, with 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste.

We are a social impact company and through our marketplace app, we connect businesses that have unsold, surplus food, with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at ⅓ of retail value.

But we’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste, so alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We are growing fast, with our community 88 million users in 17 countries. Together, we have saved more than 303 million meals from going to waste since we started - but there’s still a lot more we want to achieve.

This role can be based in any of our Cluster North countries - Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Your mission

As we continue to grow, so does our need to ensure our teammates have the tools and support they need to thrive throughout their career in Too Good To Go.

We are therefore looking for a People Operations Partner to join our global People & Culture team, to further improve and professionalise the way we organise and align our people processes globally and in our Cluster North countries (Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden).

You will become part of and work closely with the global People & Culture team and our People & Culture teams in the Cluster North countries, a team constantly evolving to meet the requirements of a fast-paced business in high growth.

Reporting to the Director of Global People Operations, you will divide your time between the operational engine room and global development projects benefiting all of our employees. Few days are the same, but overall your tasks would revolve around:

  • Further developing global and scalable people operations processes to support the annual employee life cycle and drive business value
  • Ensuring compliance in employee relations and data handling at cluster level
  • Driving implementation of people operations processes at cluster and country level, ensuring efficient governance of local payroll, employee handbook, insights and data
  • Partnering with country People & Culture to continuously improve the way we run our processes and supporting the teams on good practices
  • Managing relationships with key People & Culture vendors
  • Project managing or contributing to prioritised initiatives that help raise the bar on the people agenda in Too Good To Go

Your profile
  • You have relevant experience within HR or organisational change, likely in an operational or consultant role. You like getting things done, but stay curious on ways to do things smarter.
  • You are experienced in employee relations and people operations processes in countries like Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway or Sweden.
  • You are motivated by exploring, learning and finding solutions, and take pride in implementing them with high attention to detail and deadlines
  • You are a good communicator who understands what it takes to create crisp and clear messages, and provide excellent service across geographies, cultures and to all levels of the organisation.
  • You are great at getting your message across using slides, and you enjoy taking an extra round on a message or communication piece in order to get it right.
  • You know your way around spreadsheets, creating structure and insights from data.
  • You have more than a flair for IT, and strive to stay current with what goes on in the HR tech world.
  • You are a true organisational talent and can easily prioritise competing tasks. You love to switch constantly between administrative, people-oriented and creative work.
  • Your English skills are excellent, both written and spoken. Additional languages can be a plus.
  • If you have a specific field of expertise or particular interest beyond the list above, we would love to hear about it. Examples could be Compensation and Benefits, analytics, working with KPIs or OKRs within the people function or workforce planning.
