Job Description

Our team is in search of a Global Account Manager to oversee our relationship with a key distributor partner with over 50 global locations. As the primary point of contact for this account, you will be responsible for driving growth, maintaining relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction across all regions.

Travel to our Baltimore HQ is required for onboarding, training, and other in-person team/company activities. Candidates must be located in the Baltimore, MD area and/or within driving distance of our headquarters.

A Day in the Life:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with assigned accounts to drive collaboration and mutual success
  • Identify and prioritize strategic initiatives and revenue-generating opportunities within assigned accounts, leveraging our products and services to address their evolving needs and challenges
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing day-to-day interactions, addressing inquiries and concerns, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Keep assigned accounts informed of product updates and other relevant information to support their sales efforts
  • Drive new business development efforts, including prospecting, lead generation, and customer acquisition activities, to expand our customer base and penetrate new markets
  • Oversee and manage all accounts assigned to you
  • Clearly define Channel Partner accounts expectations of Alertus and Alertus’ expectations of Channel Partners. Hold Channel Partners accountable to these expectations
  • Support Channel Partners efforts of selling Alertus’ products and technologies to existing and new end-users
  • Ensure all Channel Partners are completing and receiving their training certifications
  • Ensure all Channel Partners correctly register all leads/opportunities through Alertus’ Vendor Portal
  • Drive performance of assigned Channel Partners against established revenue and activity goals to achieve optimal success
  • Ensure all assigned VARs are educated and trained on the Alertus Emergency Mass Notification System
  • Oversee the proper usage of marketing collateral and Alertus branding established for assigned VARs are consistently used and updated
  • Required Skills:

  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Desired Skills:

  • Channel/VAR experience preferred but not required
  • Bilingual
  • Hands-on experience with WhatsApp, LinkedIn, DiscoverOrg, and ZoomInfo
  • Experience with RFPs, Contracts, and Purchasing Vehicles
  • Technology Sales
  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or account management, with a track record of success in managing large, global accounts
