Job Overview:

  • As a Technical Sales Manager, reporting to the Regional Sales Director APAC, you will be responsible for:
  • Driving sales growth and expanding market presence for our graphics solutions tailored to the news and sports broadcasting industries.
  • Drawing upon your industry expertise and consultative selling skills you will both provide technical solution and workflow expertise to the rest of the sales team and be responsible for sales for designated accounts/countries mainly in South East Asia directly or through channel partners and systems integrators.
  • Your strategic acumen will be essential in executing on a go to market strategy to achieve revenue targets, foster customer relationships, and capitalize on market opportunities in close cooperation with Chyron’s other departments.
  • Your role will involve understanding customer needs, presenting solutions, and collaborating with the sales team to close deals.
  • You will be the main point of contact for technical discussions and will work closely with customers to ensure their requirements are met.
  • Key Responsibilites:

  • Technical Expertise: Develop an in-depth understanding of the company & products, solutions, and services. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in broadcast technology.
  • Customer Engagement: Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their requirements. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions with customers to showcase the benefits and features of the companys offerings.
  • Sales management: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration for graphics solutions in the South East Asia region.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the rest of the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Provide technical input during the proposal and bidding process. Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, and contracts.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding their business goals and challenges. Provide ongoing support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback. Gather market intelligence and provide input to the product development team for future enhancements and new product ideas.
  • Training and Education: when needed, conduct product training sessions for customers, partners,and internal teams. Stay updated on product updates, new features, and industry certifications. Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to ensure a cohesive and effective sales approach. Provide feedback on customer requirements and contribute to product roadmap discussions.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Media and Broadcast Technology) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in technical sales in the M&E and broadcast technology industry or a related role, preferably in the live graphics vertical.
  • Strong knowledge of live production, virtual studios, graphics systems, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales processes.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel within the APAC region as required to meet with customers and attend international industry events. Flexibility in travel arrangements ensures prompt response to business needs, facilitating seamless engagement with clients and industry stakeholders across Southeast Asia and internationally.
