Description

  • Develop scalable, distributed software systems, and work on other projects that require research, awareness, interactivity, and the ability to ask the right questions.
  • Design, develop, debug, support, maintain and test software applications.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate business requirements and functional specifications into innovative solutions implementing performant, scalable program designs, code modules and stable systems.
  • Assist SME in providing consultation to help ensure new and existing software solutions are developed with insight into industry best practices, strategies, and architectures and pursues professional growth.
  • Help improve our code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology and products.
  • May telecommute three (3) days a week from within Austin, Texas area.
  • Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of experience (with Master’s) or seven (7) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive work experience (with Bachelor’s) in job offered or a related software engineering role.
  • Prior experience must include five (5) years (with Master’s) or seven (7) years (with Bachelor’s) in/with: version control technologies including CVS and Github; using cloud technologies such as IBM WebSphere, Redhat Openshift, or AWS; conducting unit, integration and system testing; multithreading and synchronization in Java; d
  • Must have five (5) years of prior experience in/with: developing web applications using Java web-based technologies like Spring MVC, Struts, Spring JDBC or JNDI.
  • Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience in/with: querying and analyzing data using SQL, PLSQL, Tableau, Microsoft BI or similar; software development using one of the following programming languages: React, Node, Java, JavaScript, Typescript.
