The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.

What does a day in the life as a Customer Service Representative look like?

  • Responsible for providing customer care that is fast, friendly and accurate.
  • Responding to customer emails and chat using ZendeskKeeping oneself up-to-date on macros and processes
  • Answer customer inquiries coursed through chat and email with accuracy and efficiency
  • Empathize with customers and prioritize needs
  • Engage and lead customers to a resolution they understand and can simulate through post- contact instructions or self- help tools that we will provide
  • Take ownership of challenging or persistent customer issues by following through to resolution and escalating when necessary
  • Follow recommended steps for resolution of customer concerns, for consistency and to ensure we have the right resolution
  • Document activities in the system and tools, and as directed by current action plans
  • What are the required qualifications of a Customer Service Representative?

  • Undergraduates are welcome to apply
  • Previous customer service experience or equivalent in a BPO or call center industry
  • Must be proficient in Japanese and English, both verbal and written
  • Language requirement: N1 (native) / N2 (professional)
  • Proficient in using computers and various software applications
  • Zendesk and other messaging platform is a plus
