In this strategic role, you will partner with various departments to identify opportunities for optimization, design and implement robust automation solutions, and ensure their seamless integration and maximum impact. You will be instrumental in driving significant efficiency gains, reducing errors, and ultimately elevating our overall operational performance.
What does a day in the life of a Process Engineer look like?
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to analyze existing processes and design automation solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall performance
Integrate automation solutions with existing systems, machinery, and software applications to ensure seamless and effective operation
Develop and implement software programs and scripts to automate manual tasks, ensuring accuracy and reliability in the automation process
Conduct thorough testing and validation of automation solutions to identify and address any issues or discrepancies, ensuring optimal performance
Monitor and evaluate automated processes regularly, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization
Create comprehensive documentation for implemented automation solutions, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals
Provide training to end-users and support teams on new automation technologies, ensuring smooth adoption and troubleshooting any issues that may arise
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs
Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
Collaborate with other departments as needed
Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
Perform other duties as assigned What are the required qualifications of a Process Engineer?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience
At least 1 year of experience in process automation, including design, implementation, and optimization
Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and deliver results on time and within budget.
Experience with API integration and data extraction techniques is a plus
Workflow and process mapping capabilities. Nice-to-have qualifications:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#
Experience with AI and automation tools and platforms (e.g., Robotic Process Automation - RPA, Low-code/No-Code platforms, Bard, GPT) Additional Information
