What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a leader who works proactively to drive results and has experience in process improvement. This leader will be a key member of the Finance organization and will report to the Senior Director of Accounting. This role oversees the Payables and Payroll functions responsible for handling accounts payable, employee travel, expense reporting, and global payroll.  form.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Oversee the Payables, T&E, and Global Payroll functions
  • Develop scalable processes and policies to support department goals and key metrics
  • Liaison with internal partners including legal, HR, Procurement
  • Ensure timely supplier invoice and employee expense processing 
  • Analyze and assess AP workflows, transactions, processes, and reports
  • Be a subject matter expert for global payroll-related items including earnings codes, deductions, withholdings, and all relevant federal/state payroll laws and regulations
  • Execute off-cycle payroll, perform manual check functions, and other functions as necessary
  • Ensure the execution of all AP and payroll-related SOX controls are done timely, effectively, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Benchmark with industry peers on best practices related to accounting, systems, policies, and processes
  • Support external audits, monthly closings, and account reconciliations, as needed
  • Responsible for accurate monthly/quarterly/annual filing requirements (W-2s, 1099s)

We’d Love to Hear From People With

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred
  • Experience managing an outsourced accounting operations team
  • Strong understanding of US and Canadian payroll taxation laws and regulations
  • Experience with Workday and ADP required; experience with NetSuite, Cloudpay, Navan, and/or Coupa is a plus
  • Good understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with leaders and employees at all levels in the organization

The base pay provided for this position ranges from $139,230 / year - $235,520 / year depending on the geographic market and assuming a full-time schedule. Actual base pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education or training, skills, and experience.

Bonuses and commissions may also be offered as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; paid holidays; paid time off; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
