This opportunity is remote and we are considering candidates in the US, EU and Malaysia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Join Xsolla's engineering team to support and expand Lightstream's global presence.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in incorporating DevOps practices to balance infrastructure needs.
  • Hands-on technical role with the opportunity to make architecture and design-level decisions.
  • Directly impact workflows and service platform through architectural decisions.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of excellence and capability in technical deep-dives.
  • Bias towards instrumentation and monitoring for effective system management.
  • Emphasize automation and testing for efficient development processes.
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Production Kubernetes and containers expertise, including architecture, scaling and deployment of distributed global applications in the cloud
  • Strong general programming skills and the willingness to code to solve problems (Go experience is a plus)
  • Production troubleshooting experience for networking related to Linux, Layer 4 traffic, container and public internet traffic
  • Production multi-cloud experience and practical understanding of services and limitations within each cloud
  • Desire to automate whenever possible via IaC tools (e.g. Terraform) & APIs
  • Security-first mindset and proven track record securing public clouds, containers, network traffic and public APIs
  • Well-versed with the entire software development lifecycle, DevOps, and SRE practices
  • We get really excited about people that can meet one or more of the following:

  • Experience working with video traffic, understanding limitations and troubleshooting
  • Deep experience with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or Elastic
  • Strong beliefs around Zero Trust and/or Observability
  • Experience with service mesh solutions
  • Experience with Kubernetes CNI systems such as Cillium, Flannel, and Calico
  • Comfortable using tools like eBPF or Sysdig when troubleshooting
  • Bonus Round (Not required, but if it’s relevant let us know!)

  • Experience with our current product management tools: Shortcut.com, Productboard, Figma, G Suite, and Slack.
  • You love gaming and/or live streaming and are well versed in the language and needs of the community.
  • Measure what matters. You know how to write and measure OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)
  • Creator culture. You’ve worked on other products in or related to content creation.
