Job Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of endpoint networking security solutions with emphasis on Linux platform
  • Hands on involvement with the team, with the main trait of leading by example
  • Be the change agent fostering innovation and improving efficiencies
  • Iterate to come up with, document and follow through on agile process improvements for high performance
  • Effectively track and manage changing priorities and handle multiple urgent issues
  • Support the Product Owner with work PRD discovery, dev estimates, scheduling, team assignments
  • Work closely with architects to validate and realize prototypes
  • Provide technical guidance on feasibility and offer innovative solutions
  • Coordinate and align with local and remote engineering and design teams to ensure project timelines are met
  • Participate in an iterative design/development process to produce amazing team results
  • Produce high-quality code and assist other engineers in producing high-quality code
  • Come up with automation frameworks and manage team’s contributions with the unit tests
  • Lead and coordinate efforts on code reviews, bug triage, build processes, etc
  • Have a customer-focused mindset for delivering a product that is centered around a great customer experience
  • Work with customers on escalations, demos and beta trials
  • Be an active participant in and help enhance an agile development environment
  • Mentor engineers to grow team’s skillset

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years of focus in Endpoint product development
  • At least 5 years of most recent experience managing engineering teams
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with C++ and networking endpoint applications
  • Experience in agile collaboration models (e.g. Kanban/Scrum)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively set up and steer distributed developments including necessary integration and release steps.
  • Track record of hiring, grooming and retaining top talent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A desire to build the most intuitive and best-performing endpoint applications
  • Minimum Bachelors in Engineering is required

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$175,000

$240,000 USD
