JobSummary

As a Product Market Researcher who is part of the Product Management function, you will support the entire Product team by collecting, analyzing, and delivering vital insights that guide informed strategic decisions, drive growth, and maintain a competitive edge in the market. You will also aid in creating an efficient environment for the product team to thrive.

This role will leverage your qualitative and analytical research skills and partner closely with Product Management leadership to deliver data-driven insights, drive visibility and understanding of core trends, analyze customer behavior and business drivers.

Essential Functions

  • Design, plan and conduct in-depth market research on B2B healthcare practice management and EHR healthcare technology solutions. Identify key trends and benchmarks in terms of services and offerings, and help identify emerging opportunities for growth
  • o Monitor and analyze competitor behavior, product offerings, and marketing strategies via primary and secondary research to stay ahead in the market and clearly link research to design and product strategy
  • o Gather and summarize secondary research from relevant industry publications
  • o Design and execute primary research via 1:1 and group interviews with customers, prospects, and industry experts at conferences, onsite at practices, and remotely conducted interviews
  • Support the management and collection of product analytics via Pendo
  • o Collaborate with product owners to add new tracking when features roll out
  • o Monitor progress and flag issues that require qualitative research
  • o Create reports that quantify product features - with a baseline measurement and trackable improvements
  • Quickly create comprehensive reports and presentations to summarize insights and recommendations for leadership on an ongoing basis
  • Develop a deep understanding of Nextech products and customers
  • Manage multiple research initiatives simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and timelines
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders across functions and roles to gather knowledge, inspire confidence, and help integrate research findings into strategy
  • Assist as needed with qualitative and quantitative research for competitors and product segments to proactively identify and assess new business opportunities and threats to Nextech’s strategic imperatives (both Enterprise and SMB focused)
  • Contribute input to the development of product management data collection templates and workflows
  • Contribute to upholding best practice research standards and mentoring others in the organization
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned based on business need
  • Minimum Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business, Software, Psychology, Human Factors, or related design and product fields).
  • 4+ years of working in market research, ideally with B2B and/or Healthcare experience
  • o Ability to scope, plan, and lead research studies
  • o Familiarity with a variety of methodologies (benchmarking, contextual inquiry, user experience, exploratory/generative research, etc.)
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, and excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proven experience in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities, including ad-hoc requests
  • Proven ability to collect, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative market and product data to meaningful insights that are actionable for the organization
  • Proven experience generating reports and presentation slides to summarize findings and results
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and a proven ability to communicate effectively
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with usability testing digital products and interacting with Design and Product teams
  • Experience with survey products (Forms, Alchemer), Pendo, JIRA, Figma, AHA, Salesforce, Confluence
  • 4+ years of experience in SaaS with a business analyst, products admin, operations, market research, analytics or comparable SaaS product experience
