About the Role

As our Senior Product Designer, you'll join a dynamic and passionate team with a mission to provide financial services to the entire population. As an instrumental part of the product team you will work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to achieve goals for our business and our users. You will work with the Director of Design to design and solve user problems. 

You’ll be working remotely with a global team, with preference of working hours to be on the east coast of the US.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the UX design of complex products and features across our platforms
  • Conduct user research and usability testing 
  • Analyze user feedback and engagement data, incorporate findings into designs 
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs 
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders 
  • Able to work with loose processes on ambiguous and complex problems.
  • Justify and articulate your design decisions, striving to do so in a clear and simple manner that others can understand.
  • Understand and accept that the creative process can be messy and unpredictable, making iteration and experimentation an integral part of your practice.
  • Know when to advocate for quality and when to be pragmatic to ensure projects are completed on time and put into the hands of our users.
  • You are a self-starter and comfortable working with little more than high-level guidance.
  • Define and document current and future state business workflows and communicate them effectively.
  • Collaborate and communicate high level design strategy to stakeholders and developers.
  • Maintain quality of the design process and ensure that when designs are translated into code they accurately reflect the design specifications.
  • Maintain and support the evolution of the Design System.

 

Skills and Experience

  • You should have a minimum of 4 years experience as a designer.
  • You have experience working in an agile environment – Think two-week sprints.
  • You are familiar with using Figma, Jira and Confluence in your workflow.
  • You are an expert practitioner in design craft, bringing relevant experience with web apps, and are capable of delivering thoughtful polished experiences.
  • You have the ability to think at a high level about product strategy and articulate design decisions.
  • You understand how design, product, and engineering can partner together to quickly ship high-quality experiences at scale.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
