AnaVation is seeking a dedicated human resources intern for Summer 2024. As a human resources intern you will leverage materials learned in school and apply them in a dynamic human resources department. You will gain applicable HR experience by supporting several HR functions including document management, talent acquisition, company culture, benefits management, and much more!

Responsibilities:

Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details.

·

Auditing company files and updating information accordingly.

·

Posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.

·

Assist with formatting candidates resumes to fit company standards for submission.

·

Removing job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms once vacancies have been filled.

·

Planning, coordination, and follow through of company events.

·

Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.

·

Assist the HR department and talent acquisition team in onboarding activities for new hires.

·

Assist with preparing and routing documents for the company.

·

Work in co-op with human resources generalists and other HR staff if needed to complete annual HR duties.

·

Assist with sending out company swag items and gifts to employees.

·

Ensuring the offices are stocked with supplies on a weekly basis.

Work location: Hybrid – Chantilly, VA and remote with occasional local travel for company events.

Schedule: 15 - 20 hours per week on average.

Required Qualifications

  • Studying toward a bachelor's degree in human resource management or related business and/or psychology field.
  • Proven experience working in an office environment.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
  • Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS software.
  • Experience with ATS software.
