This role will encompass supporting Fanatics, the ideal candidate would live in Florida with an easy commute to the Fanatics JAX corporate office.

The Account Manager focuses on managing and further developing relationships, unique sales strategies and acts as a direct partner to a key account/client that is strategically important to the Mitchell & Ness business. The role will bring a data driven, storytelling approach to understanding opportunities, strengths, and objectives of the customer base. Excellent relationship management skills are required in addition to an analytical and strategic approach - successful strategic account management is critical to effective job performance.

The role will contribute to the creation & execution of integrated marketplace plans working with merchandising, marketing & supply chain to leverage the appropriate skills to build & deliver customer growth. The number one goal for this role is to build strategic partnerships & team leadership that drives profitable & sustainable sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sr. Account Manager Sales by driving new business growth through selling solutions to team shops & accounts
  • Research and understand the customer base - business goals, objectives, and challenges
  • Drive weekly updates with customers
  • Own operations update meetings internally with all proper stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate recommendations effectively to the appropriate level of leadership within leadership team of top retailers
  • Propose solutions to deliver quantifiable business value through an integrated relationship
  • Work closely with sales operations team to analyze weekly POS for key accounts, present proposed new orders for replenishment/chase and drive sales opportunities
  • Communicate accurate and timely forecasts to multiple layers of leadership both internally and externally
  • Preparation of and execution to sales plans, events, campaigns
  • Deliver strong performance against required sales/revenue targets.
  • Knowledge and/or passion for sports
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the licensed sports industry at revenue level of $3M.
  • Direct experience as an account manager in licensed sports at mass/mid/SG retailers
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships that resulted in sales growth
  • Must be able to maintain effective internal relationships to facilitate sales
  • Proven track record of identifying growth opportunities that resulted in sales growth
  • Demonstrated management skills
  • Demonstrated passion for professional or college sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, etc)
  • Strong strategic selling skills
  • Strong analytical skills to be able to understand and interpret account financials
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Intermediate computer skills to include Excel and Word
  • The salary range for this position is $62,000 - $78,000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
