Position Summary:

Disaster Recovery Engineer

Requirements:

Good Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Basic Skills - Operating Systems: Proficiency in either Windows Operating System or Linux Operating System.

Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with at least one of the cloud platforms: AWS (Amazon Web Services), OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), or Azure (Microsoft Azure).

Intermediate Skills - Replication Tools: Proficiency in Zerto Continuous Replication tool or similar tools for data replication across multiple platforms.

VMware vCenter: Basic understanding and proficiency in managing VMware vCenter for virtualized environments.

Job Responsibilities:

Provision and Maintain Replication: Set up and maintain replication across multiple platforms to achieve Disaster Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) requirements.

DR Testing: Conduct Disaster Recovery tests regularly to evaluate and validate the effectiveness of the recovery processes. Ensure that DR plans meet business requirements and are executable during emergencies.

Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot ongoing replication issues to ensure data integrity and system availability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues promptly.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of replication configurations, DR procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations. Keep documentation up to date with any changes or updates to the systems or processes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure)

- Virtualization technologies (VMware), or disaster recovery solutions would be advantageous.

- 3+ years of experience in managing replication across heterogeneous environments and implementing disaster recovery solutions is preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
