Job Summary

The Nextech Marketing team is seeking a summer Project Management intern to assist in planning and executing our creative marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who loves the process have interest in Marketing as a profession with a curiosity to learn more. You possess excellent communication and time management skills, have a vigilance for meeting deadlines, are adept at anticipating problems and recognizing opportunities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

As an intern, you will be fully embedded and entrenched in our creative process –from concept to creation – developing clear and detailed digital project plans and managing all assigned projects. With the guidance of senior marketing team members, you will gain hands-on experience by preparing timelines, resource allocations, and project estimates, facilitating project status meetings and updates, and assisting with management, quality assurance and delivery of all final campaign assets.

Essential Functions

  • Manage overall execution of creative marketing projects from planning through implementation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the broader marketing team so that actions remain in synergy.
  • Adhere to deadlines, set targets for milestones, and develop long- and short-term plans.
  • Modify project targets and schedules in alignment with changing schedules, resources, and budgets.
  • Delegate project tasks to best fit team members as necessary.
  • Make effective decisions regarding a project's next steps when presented with multiple options.
  • Ensure maintenance of standards on projects by performing quality control.
  • Collaborate with key stake holders and marketing department leads to keep projects aligned with their goals.
  • Complete other marketing-related tasks as assigned by the marketing team.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in marketing or related field
  • A passion for organizing and managing project minutia
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and techniques
  • Analytical mindset with the capacity to quickly learn and process information
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and use of project management tools and software such as Monday.com, Asana, or Basecamp.
  • Working Environment/Physical Demands

  • This role has the ability to be fully remote
  • Long distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 20% travel.
  • Activities require a significant amount of work in front of a computer monitor
