About the Guide Team
The Guide team has one of the most exciting charters within Thumbtack’s product portfolio, focusing on realizing our vision of being a trusted, unbiased advisor to customer. The scope is broad as we envision helping customers understand what to do when across use cases including seasonal maintenance, moving/home purchase, energy savings, and renovations/remodels.
About the Role
As the Product Manager, you will lead an exceptional cross functional team in defining and executing our Guide strategy. You’ll have tremendous customer impact by setting them up to proactively care for their homes. You’ll play a key role in growing our customer lifetime value and delivering more jobs to pros.
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate our Guide strategy in partnership with a fantastic team xfunctional partners
- Evangelize that strategy across Thumbtack to ensure customers always have access to the right guidance at the right time
- Partner with product and content designers, engineers, user research, and marketers to ideate, prioritize and deliver our guide experience
- Define and analyze key metrics to inform decision-making and measure success
- Coordinate within your team and among teams at Thumbtack to ensure understanding of and alignment around projects
What you’ll need

- 5+ years of product management experience building consumer web/mobile products
- Experience with building a 0-1 product
- Experience with setting product strategy at a highly rigorous level
- Exceptional cross functional leadership abilities
- Excellent analytical skills to break down and solve complex problems
Bonus points if you have
- Experience working in a marketplace business
- Experience working in a content-rich product area

Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected salary range for this role is currently $199,750 - $242,250. Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
