📋 Description

• Lead the AI feature design in PyCharm and Python tooling.
• Prototype and ship AI features hands-on as a technical leader.
• Guide the team in adopting AI tech, review approaches, and patterns.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and decide what to build or integrate.
• Collaborate with product managers, ML engineers, QA, and devs to turn ideas into solid technical plans.
• Navigate Kotlin/Java codebase; expose IntelliJ Platform APIs to AI workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering in Python and/or Kotlin/JVM.
• Hands-on with modern AI tooling for developers (coding assistants, agents, LLMs).
• Experience in large, mature codebases delivering technical change without compromising quality.
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation and benchmarking.
• Track record making good architectural decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous areas.
• Strong communication and ability to influence technical direction without formal authority.
• Experience with IDE internals, language servers, or code analysis.
• Experience with the Python AI/ML ecosystem.
