Android Systems Engineer, Consumer Devices

📋 Description

• Build deeply integrated Android experiences that take advantage of platform capabilities
• Work across the Android platform: framework, system APIs, services, IPC, permissions
• Leverage device capabilities (audio, camera, sensors, connectivity, location)
• Create agentic mobile experiences to help users complete multi-step tasks
• Design scalable abstractions for multiple devices and OEMs
• Prototype new interaction models and own experiences end to end

🎯 Requirements

• Deep experience shipping high-quality Android software used by customers
• Strong knowledge of Android platform beyond UI: framework APIs, system services, lifecycle
• Proficient in Kotlin and/or Java; comfortable with large codebases
• Experience with AOSP, Android internals, privileged APIs, OEM integrations
• Experience integrating software with hardware and debugging across boundaries
• Understand OS versions, device configurations, permissions, fragmentation
