Assistant Chemist (Maritime Service)

📋 Description

• Determinining confidentiality, integrity, quality, technical, health and safety aspects of the
• Assist Lab Manager/Senior Chemist in all aspects of work in the section.
• Carry out testing and calibration of equipment in the section when necessary.
• Assist in reagent preparation and standardization of standard solutions.
• Perform result entry, QC checks, inventory maintenance, basic equipment calibration &
• Maintain equipment and testing records in the section.

🎯 Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post
• Interacts with operational personnel, scientific personnel, and department management.
• May work with potentially hazardous materials.
• Overtime and weekend work as required.
• Work requires some standing and sitting for long periods in a laboratory hood and at a bench top.
• Work requires use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
