Assistant Head of Department, Automation – Touring Show

📋 Description

• Assistant Head of Department, Automation to support touring show automation
• Full-time position with international touring assignments
• Work with Technical Director and Head of Department to ensure safe, high-quality automation
• Manage rehearsals, performances, and transfers; supervise crew and training
• Operate automation systems during performances and artist training sessions
• Collaborate on upgrades, projects, and safety compliance

🎯 Requirements

• Availability to tour internationally full-time
• Live entertainment/production diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years automation experience in live shows; touring experience preferred
• Hands-on automation console and motion control experience (winches, lifts, turntables, etc.)
• Technical knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, control loops, electrical systems
• English fluent; other languages a plus
