Associate Director, M&A

📋 Description

• Support the VP of M&A across the transaction lifecycle, aiming to independently lead
• Identify and qualify targets by assessing strategic fit, deal probability, and business quality
• Conduct detailed financial analysis of targets and identify trends across financial statements
• Build sophisticated Excel models to analyze economics, forecast performance, and value ranges
• Coordinate due diligence across internal teams and external stakeholders
• Build relationships with targets and key decision-makers; prepare leadership-ready materials

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of progressive professional experience in accounting, capital advisory, investment
• Approximately 2–3 years of mid-market transaction experience with deal exposure
• Experience with small, owner-managed businesses
• CPA/CA, CFA, and/or MBA are assets
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong financial modelling
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

🎁 Benefits

• Base salary: CAD 126,000–154,000 per year for Ontario/BC positions
• Compensation may vary based on location, experience, and other factors
