Associate Director, Safety Data Sciences

📋 Description

• Based at AbbVie hubs: Lake County IL, Irvine CA, South San Francisco CA, or Florham Park NJ.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support safety profile and risk through lifecycle.
• Lead surveillance activities for a product’s life cycle using trials, safety databases, and
• Analyze data for signal assessment and respond to regulatory safety requests.
• Communicate findings to product teams and leadership to inform risk minimization.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Health Sciences (Pharmacy, Epidemiology, Nursing) or Bachelor + 4 yrs safety/clinical
• Masters/PhD + 2 yrs clinical/pharma/safety experience
• Knowledge of drug development, regulatory requirements for submission and post-marketing
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, matrix team; strong collaboration
• Strong oral/written communication; proficient in Word/Excel; basic PM
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
