Associate General Counsel - Medical Devices

📋 Description

• Develop and implement IP strategies for AbbVie's products
• Provide legal advice to R&D and business teams on IP matters
• Draft, file, prosecute patent applications worldwide
• Manage outside counsel for patent prosecutions
• Challenge and defend patents in post-grant proceedings
• Conduct prior art searches and due diligence for BD

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school; state bar; USPTO registration
• 8+ years in patent law at a law firm or life sciences company
• Technical background in medical devices or related fields
• Degree in biotechnology/biomedical engineering/biochemistry/biology/chemistry/chemical engineering
• Strong legal, analytical, communication, collaboration skills
• Ability to manage complex projects to meet deadlines
