Automation Projects Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead automation and controls scope for new equipment and lines
• Design, program, and deploy PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and networks
• Define scope, specs, budgets, timelines, and resource plans
• Manage multiple automation projects against cost and schedule targets
• Coordinate design reviews, FATs, SATs, installation, and startup
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, IT, Quality, and Maintenance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation or related field
• 3+ years as a Controls/Automation Engineer in manufacturing
• Strong PLC programming expertise (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Omron, Siemens)
• Experience with Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, IO-Link
• Hands-on robotics, vision systems, VFDs, servo motion control
• Ability to travel 35-40% across US, Mexico and vendor locations
