Automobile Mechanics or Truck Trailer Mechanics

📋 Description

• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
• Inspect and road-test vehicles; diagnose faults with computerized tests
• Repair or replace engine, fuel system, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specs
• Perform oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair needs

🎯 Requirements

• Secondary school completion is required.
• Completion of automotive service technician apprenticeship program
• 2 to 5 years of experience required
• Completion of secondary school and program in transport mechanic or truck-trailer repair
• Experience in engine/fuel systems, transmission, air conditioning, steering, brakes, suspension, electrical systems is advantageous
