Backend Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Lead the Backend Engineering team responsible for Dragos Platform backend components.
• Oversee streaming data ingest, detection processing, baseline learning, and API platform
• Mentor engineers, foster a strong technical community, and align teams with product goals.
• Collaborate with product and security teams to deliver robust, scalable systems.
• Occasional hands-on contribution to development, triage, or troubleshooting.
• Ensure production deployments and fielded production support run smoothly.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years leading and building technical teams
• 5+ years developing software with microservice architectures
• Hands-on backend fundamentals, distributed systems, production-grade development
• Strong experience with Rust preferred; comfortable with modern systems languages
• Leadership in agile cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with Apache Flink, RabbitMQ, or Hashicorp Vault
