📋 Description

• Prepare water and soil samples for analysis by Purge and Trap Gas Chromatography
• Evaluate chromatography for qualitative and quantitative criteria
• Monitor and manage backlog workload to meet client program requirements
• Upload and peer review data using the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
• Perform basic instrument maintenance and repair, including column replacement and ion source
• Maintain instrument calibrations and ensure QA/QC compliance

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ years operating a GC in an academic or production laboratory setting
• BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years lab experience may substitute for a degree
• Production-oriented experience a plus; ability to meet deadlines
• Effective time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to perform and evaluate basic mathematical calculations
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to read/write/speak English
