CLI Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain developer-facing tools to improve productivity and reliability across
• Develop and maintain backend APIs and services using TypeScript with scalable, secure, and
• Build cross-platform command-line tooling for Windows, Linux, and macOS with a strong focus on UX
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define end-to-end functionality from API behavior
• Develop comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure reliability as
• Create documentation and support resources for API users, CLI users, and developer communities.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with backend systems and/or
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and experience delivering production-grade API/server-side
• Experience building and maintaining command-line tools, including filesystem operations, subprocess
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js, Rust, Python, Go, or C++.
• Experience creating intuitive CLI experiences with clear commands, outputs, and actionable errors.
• Familiarity with package distributions like npm, yarn, Homebrew, APT, Snap, Scoop, or Chocolatey.
