📋 Description

  • Review patient records to improve quality and accuracy of clinical documentation
  • Assess docs to reflect severity of illness and services rendered
  • Collaborate with providers, coders, and care team
  • Identify opportunities and clarify clinical information as appropriate
  • Formulate, monitor, and respond to documentation clarification requests
  • Develop and deliver CDI education to providers

🎯 Requirements

  • Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field
  • 1–2 years inpatient coding experience
  • Active RN license or relevant certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CDIP, or CCDS)
  • Experience with acute-care inpatient coding or CDI preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, HIM, or related field preferred
  • Strong clinical documentation, coding knowledge, and communication skills
