Compliance Officer, Europe

📋 Description

• Lead MiCA and EMI compliance strategies across entities, products and jurisdictions.
• Advise the Board on regulatory risk, remediation, licensing and priorities.
• Manage engagement with MFSA including RFIs, reporting and supervisory commitments.
• Oversee compliance monitoring, controls, regulatory changes, and outsourcing oversight.
• Lead the DORA programme, gap analysis, documentation, remediation tracking, and awareness.
• Support MiCA and PSD/PSR licence applications with Legal and cross-functional teams.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in regulatory compliance within fintech, payments, VASP/CASP or digital assets.
• Strong knowledge of MiCA, EMI, DORA and MFSA requirements.
• Experience engaging with European regulators, especially MFSA (RFIs, inspections, licensing).
• Proven track record leading DORA implementations and regulatory inspections.
• Ability to lead multi-jurisdictional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication for regulator/Board-facing docs.
