Corporate Attorney - Japan

📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate licensing, vendor, and distribution agreements.
• Advise on Japanese employment and HR matters (hiring, termination, compliance).
• Govern corporate governance on entity management and board matters in Japan.
• Coordinate with external Japanese counsel across practice areas.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Japan and mitigate related risks.
• Support cross-border transactions with global legal teams.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of corporate attorney experience (firm or in-house)
• Bar license in Japan (bengoshi or equivalent)
• Expertise negotiating/drafting complex agreements (global)
• Experience with licensing, vendor contracts, HR/employment matters
• Fluent in Japanese and English (written and spoken)
• Prior gaming/entertainment/tech industry preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities globally
