📋 Description

• Role within Carta Law Contracts, Americas function.
• Negotiate and manage high volumes of pre-M&A contracts (NDAs, NRLs, joinders, engagement
• Serve as primary day-to-day contact for sophisticated investment funds and asset managers.
• Maintain client playbooks; ensure consistency and quality across negotiations.
• Collaborate with and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals; support a high-performing team.
• Contribute to Carta's legal tech stack and AI-backed tools.

🎯 Requirements

• 6-8+ years post-law-school corporate or transactional experience; independently negotiate
• Commercially minded, client-focused; strong communication with financial services clients.
• Experience with asset managers, investment banks, or financial services firms.
• Law degree and licensed to practice in the Americas (US/Canada).
• Tech-savvy; comfortable with legal tech (e.g., AI tools, HighQ) and AI interest a plus.
• Self-starter; thrives in fast-paced environments and seeks continuous improvement.
