📋 Description

• Lead arachnid-focused research within the Entomology Department.
• Advance a collections-based program integrating genomics, imaging, and informatics.
• Contribute to Project BEACON and help design its scientific direction.
• Grow the Academy's arachnid collections and type holdings.
• Collaborate across platforms to communicate discoveries to diverse audiences.
• Engage in training and mentorship of students and fellows.

🎯 Requirements

• Ph.D. in Entomology, Arachnology, Systematics, Evolutionary Biology, or related field; postdoc
• Strong experience with natural history collections and modern genomic/informatics methods.
• Peer-reviewed publication record and track record of external funding.
• Ability to communicate scientific work to both expert and lay audiences.
• Collaborative, interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Assistant-level qualification with 5+ years of relevant experience
