Customer Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery to assess business challenges and technical fit for a POC.
• Design and deliver tailored demos connecting Mixpanel capabilities to outcomes.
• Establish technical fit and scope proofs for meaningful POCs.
• Champion competitive positioning vs alternatives like Amplitude and PostHog.
• Run structured POCs with defined success criteria and handoff to Delivery Engineer.
• Support post-sale expansion with new technical evaluations and surface/product exploration.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical pre-sales at a B2B SaaS
• Technical foundation in data analytics, event tracking, APIs, data warehouses, or adjacent domains.
• Commercial instinct to win deals and drive value for customers.
• Experience running POCs with measurable outcomes and defined criteria.
• Clear, compelling communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Competitive knowledge of the analytics landscape or ability to build it quickly.
